South East Queensland

This section lists the various clubs, farms and markets in the South East Queensland region that are connected with organic gardening, permaculture, bio-dynamics or other sustainable form of gardening/farming. If you're interested in where you can purchase your groceries, how to start your own vegetable patch, or even a current family farmer that wants to know more of what's happening in SEQ

It is suggested you also look in the Australia section, as some organisations in other locations provide services Australia wide, for example, seed supplies with mail order facilities.

Markets

The number of outdoor or farmers markets has increased significantly in recent years. There are specific markets for organic produce, but all the food markets tend to have some vendors that sell organic produce. Some are a good place for the small family owned farmer to sell their produce direct to the consumer, thereby tending to be fresher. If you're a vendor at one of these markets and have feedback from your point of view, I'm quite happy to hear from you.

These markets also tend to have atmosphere that is lacking in any supermarket, so even from that perspective are worth the visit.
